About Us
Meet Richard
Richard M. Wintory is the owner of The Next Chapter Law Firm. Richard spent more than two decades as a prosecutor, handling countless jury trials in difficult cases, before making the transition to private practice in 2017. During that time, he was named Arizona's Prosecutor of the Year twice. Now Richard devotes his skill and experience to helping Arizona families resolve divorce, custody, probate, and other disputes so they can move on to the next chapter in their lives. He also teaches new law enforcement recruits and provides training and consultation services to prosecutors here and in other states.
Richard moved to Pima County in 2003. He fell in love with the mountains, the fresh air, and the amazing people. In addition to practicing law, Richard is a real person with a family, including a charming teenager and a really large dog. He spends his free time cooking, watching his son play soccer, and enjoying the home and friends he has made here in southern Arizona.
